Rolled steel flat bars are used in a variety of different projects in the fabrication industry such as agricultural machinery, transportation equipment and industrial equipment. Hot rolled steel is more malleable and has a loose tolerance compared to cold rolled steel which allows it to be made into many different shapes. The process for cold rolled steel increases the strength of the final product and is often more accurate with dimensions than hot rolled. Cold rolled steel is limited in the number of shapes it can be formed into. The flat bars are made from stripped coil and rolled into bars. Norfolk Iron & Metal offers several sizes of cold rolled and hot rolled steel
flat bars as well as custom sizes if needed.
